The stormwater management fieldwork is performed by the Right-of-Way Division within Public Works. This division is responsible for the maintenance of the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4's). Further description is detailed under the Right-of-Way Division website.
This site primarily deals with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit (NPDES). This site will enable users to obtain details relating to this permit. It also provides links to additional information about stormwater pollution prevention, the NPDES program, Florida's Stormwater Control Inspector's Manual, and information for industrial and general construction activities within the City of Punta Gorda.
There are also links to distinctive educational materials, stormwater management terminology, information about guidelines, and important ways that the City of Punta Gorda's residents can learn about and help reduce the discharge of pollutant laden stormwater into our waterways.
